WHAT IS ALLERGIC ASTHMA ?
Allergic asthma is a chronic inflammatory condition where the lungs become inflamed, and airways tighten when you inhale an allergen. It’s also known as allergy-induced asthma.
In people with allergic asthma, exposure to allergens triggers the immune system to produce too much immunoglobulin E (IgE). This causes the airways to swell, leading to symptoms such as shortness of breath and wheezing.
Allergic asthma or bronchitis involves inflammation of the bronchi caused by an allergen, or something to which you are allergic. Airway irritants, such as pollen, dust, and mold, can trigger symptoms. Cigarette smoking, crackers smoke almost always causes allergic bronchitis.
